Some aromatic plants and products may have a historical use of folkloric nature, but we offer this product as incense and/or botanical curiosa; neither food grade, for consumption nor medical use, unless other is stated. This means that you should contact your doctor even though, for example, frankincense have been used during the Middle Ages as a remedy for bubonic plague. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep away from children and animals. The snuffs containing tobacco should be used moderately and not daily since tobacco is addictive. The long-term use of tobacco snuff is unknown and should therefore be used with this in mind.

Description
Txunu (also called Tsunu) from the Katukina tribe has a wonderful subtle effect that brings distractions in the forefront of ones mind to an instant calm. It has a deeply meditative feel to it even though the first moments can be quite sharp and lifting. This only lasts for a few moments before the calmness reaches the entire system. Darker than most grey types this preparation has its own feel and distinct flavour. The after affects last for some time and barely any stray powder reaches the back of the throat. The first moment however does bring a wealth of tears to the eyes, with a sharp lifting sensation that plateaus at it peak into a subtle calm state of being. Perfect for general shamanic use and in area’s where concentration and calmness is needed. All Txunu’s remain very distinct from other types of Rapé, usually because of the higher ash content.
The combustion of the shell of the Tsunu releases an alkaloid known as Perenine, a powerful anti-inflammatory substance that assists in combatting migraine, influenza, sinusitis, rhinitis, poor digestion, constipation and fever. Tsunu snuff aligns the chakras, unlocking blocked energies, and in some indigenous traditions use it as a tool spiritual to fight more energies and ward off evil spirits.
This is an extremely fine and dry powder. It takes great effort to produce such a fine powder at a 150 micron fineness. This is our standard because this provides the best Rapé experience. All our Rapé is processed to a high standard and consistent fineness and dryness, using laboratory grade sieves and dehydrating equipment, before packaging.

About the tribe
Katukina or Catuquina, Katokina, Katukena, Katukino are generic terms that are attributed to five linguistically distinct but geographically proximate indigenous groups that live in southwestern Brazil at the border of the Amazonas and Acre. The Katukina are a tribe that is very connected to the usage of sacred plants. They consider themselves as the first tribe to receive the Kambo medicine straight from the frog. They still carry a vast knowledge about plants and the spirit of the world. Their Rapé is strong and deep, and it carries the wild and powerful spirit of the jungle.
