Background
The name Dragon's Blood comes from the blood-red sap from the tree Daemonorops draco grown and harvested on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. Traditionally, it has been used as a coloring agent for lacquers, toothpaste, tinctures, plaster and the coloring horns and bones. It has also been used as a medicine to wash wounds and stop bleeding. It is also taken orally to help with chest pain, postpartum bleeding, internal trauma and menstrual problems.
