Tube of 10, 33 or 40 mm, from Netherlands
Charcoal discs are necessary for burning non-combustible incenses. Potassium nitrate is added to these Coals during their manufacture to help them ignite. Take one tablet and place in a heatproof stone dish, a charcoal disc burner or a bowl with sand. Do not hold the tablet in your hand while lighting it. Light the edge of the tablet with a match or a lighter. The tablet will then light across its surface. Once the tablet is glowing, small amounts of herbs or powdered resins can be placed on the tablet, during approximately 2 hours.
Store your Charcoal discs in an airtight bag or jar.
The larger 40 mm charcoal discs burns for a longer duration and has the capacity to hold larger amounts of incense. Perfect for larger incense burners.
De större 40 mm koldiskarna brinner längre och har en större yta att lägga rökelse på. Lämpar sig ypperligt för större rökelsebrännare.
10 discs packed in a aluminum foil roll.
Contents:
Potassium nitrate, charcoal, binder.
Recommendations:
If a smaller amount of incense is to be used, break the coals into 2 or 4 sections before lighting to save on materials. Make sure they are placed on something viable to burn hot coals as they have a tendency to shatter china and burn through combustables. Use only an incense burner or censer and take care to place somewhere out of children and animals reach. The immediate burn off should be done in a well ventilated area and not inhaled. Once the coal is white hot you can place your herbs or resins on top.
In order to maintain freshness, opened rolls should be resealed and stored in a cool dry place. Effective storage will ensure quick lighting and a long burning time.
