The Californian Incense Cedar is an ancient tree, known as the Tree of Life by some Native American tribes. It's one of the most aggressively cleansing smudges you can use and also creats a protective barrier around the person, object or place that's smuged; often used to banish nightmares. It's said to, besides purify, create a bridge between heaven and earth and invite good spirits.
